Dear Roy, thanks for your comment! Totally appreciated! Well the thing about communities… For me I never thought communities are a thing that I am interested in, but turns out that the power of many is very useful and uplifting. I can tell, if you found your tribe, you will question how you could ever live without that crowd! It is about the mix, the fit, and the chemistry. You will know what the right community is, once you found them — that might sounds a bit nerdy, however, in my experience of the past eight years this has been confirmed over and over again.

That said, I believe in private units respectively a house-village where each individual, each family, or group can own their own property and thus have privacy when they need or want. With the advantage of having the community at hand.

For long term sustainability, profits and alike. I think there are two major drivers: a) maintenance costs and b) structure of the organisation. The lower the maintenance costs and the simpler the structure the lower the financial effort in the long run.
If we include the aspects of regenerative concepts, food sovereignty, and etc. in the mix, then the community could produce profits from self grown food, products and/or services that are generated and offered by community members. For instance, events and workshops could be sold to outsiders.

This is just a short answer to your comment and there are many more great ideas already.
